New Delhi: A scooty parking dispute in Delhi's Nizamuddin area took a deadly turn, in which Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi's 42-year-old cousin Asif Qureshi was brutally murdered. The incident took place on Thursday night at around 10:30 pm in Jangpura Bhogal Lane of Nizamuddin, where the parking dispute took a violent turn. Police have arrested two youths in this case—19-year-old Ujjwal and 18-year-old Gautam, who are actually real brothers and lived in Asif's neighborhood.
Giving information about the incident, the police said that when Asif saw the neighbor's scooty parked in front of the main gate of his house, he requested them to remove it. On this, both the brothers not only abused Asif but also attacked him with sharp weapons. Asif died due to the attack with a poker (sharp object) on his chest. After the incident, Asif was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Asif's wife, Sainaz Qureshi, told the police that this was not the first time there was a dispute over parking. She alleged that these neighbors had quarreled with her husband earlier as well. Sainaz said that her husband was attacked so brutally over a minor issue, which is not acceptable in any civilized society.
The police have registered a case in this case under Section 302 (murder) and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Investigation revealed that both the accused brothers lived in Asif's neighborhood and often quarreled over small matters. However, this time the dispute escalated so much that it culminated in a murder.
This incident highlights the increasing violence in a metropolis like Delhi and the tendency of small disputes to take a violent turn. The murder of Asif Qureshi has not only shattered his family but has also raised the question as to why there is a growing lack of tolerance and patience in society.
The police are now conducting a thorough investigation into the case, and the accused are being questioned. Meanwhile, Asif's family is hopeful of getting justice, although his life cannot be brought back. Stay tuned to Dynamite News for further updates.
