New Delhi: A shocking murder case has surfaced in Delhi’s Kilokari area, where a Manipuri musician and guitar teacher allegedly died after being brutally assaulted. The victim, identified as Vikram Singh Chongtham, was attacked following an argument over alleged noise and disturbance near his residence.
According to police officials, the incident took place late Sunday night when Chongtham reportedly confronted a group of people creating a disturbance outside his home. The disagreement soon escalated, leading to a violent assault.
The accused allegedly attacked Chongtham, leaving him critically injured. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors tried to save him. However, he later succumbed to his injuries.
The incident triggered concern among members of the Northeast community living in Delhi, with many demanding strict action against those responsible.
Delhi Police launched an investigation after receiving information about the assault. Officials examined CCTV footage and gathered evidence to identify those involved in the attack.
Police have arrested seven people in connection with the case. A minor has also reportedly been taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation.
The accused are being questioned, and further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the probe.
Vikram Singh Chongtham was known as a talented musician and had been working as a music teacher in Delhi. His sudden death has left the music community and his acquaintances deeply shocked.
