New Delhi: Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary has allegedly received a death threat, triggering a security alert in the national capital. A formal complaint has been lodged at the Tughlaq Road police station, and an investigation is currently underway.

Police Launch Investigation

According to officials, the threat was conveyed through an unidentified phone number. Following the complaint, the Delhi Police initiated a probe to determine the origin of the call and identify the person responsible.

Assistant Received the Call

Sources said the threatening call was made to the minister’s personal assistant, Vishvendra Shah. The caller allegedly issued threats against the minister, prompting immediate reporting to the authorities.

Suspect Identified, Multi-State Probe On

Preliminary findings suggest that the caller may have been identified as an individual from Murshidabad district in West Bengal. Police teams are coordinating with local authorities in the state to verify the suspect’s identity and involvement.

Investigators are also examining claims that the accused may have had access to details of the minister’s official travel plans.
