New Delhi: Television actress Shweta Tiwari has made headlines after opening up about her past relationships during a conversation on The Traitors Season 2. The actress, known for her long career in Indian television, shared a personal revelation while explaining why she believes she can easily identify lies.
During a discussion with host Karan Johar, Shweta spoke about her ability to catch people who are not being truthful. Responding to Karan’s comment about her being good at spotting liars, the actress made a candid remark about her past marriages.
In the show, when Karan Johar said, “You can't be that good at catching a liar,” Shweta replied, “I caught my husbands cheating on me.” The statement quickly caught attention among viewers as she referred to her two marriages with actor Raja Chaudhary and actor Abhinav Kohli.
Shweta’s comment came during a conversation about the skills required to survive in a reality show like The Traitors, where contestants must identify deception and hidden motives.
Shweta Tiwari married actor Raja Chaudhary in 1998. The couple separated in 2007 and later got divorced. Years later, she married actor Abhinav Kohli in 2013. However, their relationship also ended in separation.
During her previous public statements, Shweta had spoken about difficulties in both relationships and had cited serious issues as reasons behind the separation.
Raja Chaudhary recently discussed his relationship with Shweta Tiwari during an interview on a podcast hosted by Siddharth Kannan.
He rejected allegations of domestic abuse and shared his side of the story regarding their marriage. He also made claims about Shweta’s relationship with her former Kasautii Zindagii Kay co-star Cezanne Khan, allegations that have been part of public discussions around their past.
