New Delhi: The newly released music video of Nora Fatehi and Honey Singh for their song Body Roll has generated discussion online after viewers pointed out similarities with Jibaro, a widely acclaimed episode from Netflix anthology series Love, Death + Robots.
Released over the weekend, the song quickly gained traction on YouTube and social media platforms, drawing millions of views within days. However, much of the online conversation shifted towards the visual styling and thematic resemblance between the music video and the animated episode.

The opening sequence of Body Roll features a warrior-like man approaching a forest lake before encountering a woman adorned in elaborate golden jewellery emerging from the water. The visuals then transition into a stylised dance performance led by Nora Fatehi.
Many social media users claimed the costumes, colour palette, setting and character presentation closely resembled Jibaro, a 2022 episode directed by Alberto Mielgo. The episode follows a mysterious siren-like figure covered in gold who encounters a lone soldier near a lake deep inside a jungle landscape.
Soon after the song’s release, viewers began sharing screenshots and side-by-side comparisons across platforms including Instagram, X and YouTube.
Several users described the visuals as heavily inspired by the Netflix episode, while others accused the makers of directly copying the concept.
Comments online ranged from appreciation for the music video’s aesthetics to criticism over the lack of originality. Some viewers argued that artistic inspiration is common in music videos and cinema, while others questioned whether the similarities went beyond inspiration.

Content creators and entertainment pages also amplified the debate by posting visual comparisons between scenes from Body Roll and Jibaro.
Jibaro is part of the third season of Love, Death + Robots, an animated anthology series created by Tim Miller. The episode received widespread praise after its release in 2022 for its unique animation style, storytelling and visual design.
The short film became one of the most discussed episodes of the anthology series and won recognition for its experimental cinematic approach. Neither Nora Fatehi nor Honey Singh has publicly responded to the online comparisons so far.
