New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has showered praise on Kangana Ranaut's upcoming film Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata and indicated that the Delhi government may consider granting it tax-free status. The remarks came after a special screening of the film held in the national capital ahead of its theatrical release on June 12.

The event was attended by political leaders, members of the film industry and other guests who watched the film based on the heroism of healthcare workers during one of India's darkest moments.

CM Calls Film ‘Magnificent’

Speaking to the media after the screening, Rekha Gupta described the film as a "magnificent movie" and praised its emotional storytelling.

She said the film highlights an inspiring chapter of Indian humanity by showcasing how a group of nurses and healthcare workers risked their lives to protect hundreds of patients during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

According to Gupta, the film demonstrates that courage is not limited to those in uniform and can be found in ordinary citizens who rise to extraordinary challenges.

Praise For Kangana Ranaut's Performance

The Chief Minister also applauded Kangana Ranaut's portrayal in the film, saying her performance effectively captured the bravery and determination displayed by healthcare workers during the crisis.

In a post on social media, Gupta said the film powerfully depicts the spirit of service, dedication and sacrifice shown by doctors, nurses and hospital staff. She added that such films help strengthen values of duty, compassion and social responsibility.

Tax-Free Status Under Consideration

One of the biggest takeaways from the screening was Gupta's indication that the Delhi government intends to make the film tax-free. She stated that the move would help ensure wider access to the film, allowing students, young people and families to watch and learn from the inspiring story.
