Mumbai: Mumbai has welcomed its own “Spider-Man” as a massive life size poster was put up in the city before the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

The life size Spider-Man positioned above a large billboard, with giant webs extending across the structure. Designed to make the superhero appear as though he has stepped out of the screen, the installation quickly attracted the attention of commuters, fans and social media users.

Viral Display Creates Buzz

Videos of the 3D poster have been widely shared online, with viewers praising the old-school physical design rather than a screen-based optical illusion. Many users said the realistic structure made Spider-Man appear to be climbing over the billboard and swinging through Mumbai.

The promotional campaign has also drawn attention for placing the superhero in a setting closely associated with the city’s crowded roads, local culture and urban skyline.

New Spider-Man Film Arrives in July

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled for theatrical release in India at the end of July 2026. Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker, with Zendaya, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal and Jacob Batalon also listed among the cast. The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.

The giant Mumbai installation is part of the pre-release campaign aimed at building excitement around the latest chapter in the Spider-Man franchise. With its dramatic design and real-world scale, the display has already succeeded in creating strong online conversation before the film reaches cinemas.
