Mumbai: Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shaping up to be one of the biggest box office events in recent years, with early projections suggesting the Marvel blockbuster could collect more than $550 million worldwide during its opening weekend. If achieved, it would mark the biggest global debut for a Hollywood film since Avengers: Endgame in 2019.
Initial industry tracking had estimated the fourth solo Spider-Man film would open between $180 million and $190 million in North America. However, renewed excitement following the release of a new trailer and a surge in advance ticket sales has significantly raised expectations.
According to the latest industry projections, Brand New Day could earn as much as $300 million domestically in its opening weekend. Even conservative estimates place the film at around $260 million, matching Spider-Man: No Way Home and surpassing the opening weekends of Avengers: Infinity War and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Globally, the film is expected to cross the $550 million mark in its first weekend, placing it among the few Hollywood releases to achieve such a milestone. If the projections hold, Brand New Day would deliver the largest worldwide opening since Avengers: Endgame, giving Marvel Studios a much-needed box office boost ahead of its next major crossover film, Avengers: Doomsday.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day follows Peter Parker as he navigates life after the events of No Way Home, where the world has forgotten his identity. The film features Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo.
The upcoming superhero film also introduces Jon Bernthal's Punisher into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and features Spider-Man's first on-screen clash with The Hulk. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on July 31, 2026.
