Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday starrer Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri has crossed the Rs 10 crore mark at the domestic box office within two days of its Christmas release, but collections remain modest amid strong competition.

Day two collections drop sharply from opening day.
Mumbai: Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri has managed to cross the Rs 10 crore milestone at the domestic box office by the end of its second day. However, the overall performance of the film has remained slower than expected for a festive release. The romantic comedy, starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, entered theatres on Christmas with moderate expectations following the actor’s strong run last year.
The film opened to modest figures on its first day and failed to enter double digit territory. Despite the holiday advantage, the opening day collections stood below industry projections, signaling limited initial buzz. The first day total settled at Rs 7.75 crore, reflecting a cautious audience response.
On its second day, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri witnessed a noticeable decline in earnings. The film collected approximately Rs 5 crore, marking a significant fall from its opening day figures. This drop resulted in a total domestic net collection of Rs 12.75 crore after two days. The downward trend has raised concerns about the film’s ability to sustain momentum in the coming days.

Audience turnout for the film has also remained limited. On day two, the overall occupancy stood at just under 20 percent. Morning shows recorded very low footfalls, while afternoon shows saw some improvement. Evening and night shows performed relatively better, but not enough to significantly boost collections. Major circuits like Delhi NCR and Mumbai reported moderate occupancy levels despite having a large number of shows allocated to the film.
Delhi NCR had the highest number of shows for the film, but occupancy remained just over 21 percent. Mumbai performed slightly better, recording an occupancy of over 25 percent across its shows. Other regions reported similar trends, indicating that the film has yet to find strong traction among urban and mass audiences alike.
When compared to Kartik Aaryan’s earlier releases, the current numbers appear subdued. His past romantic dramas and comedies have delivered stronger opening weekend performances. Films like Satyaprem Ki Katha, Love Aaj Kal, Pati Patni Aur Woh and Luka Chuppi all posted higher collections within their first two days, highlighting the relatively muted response to his latest outing.
Dhurandhar 2: Sequel to release in South Indian languages; Makers plan big Eid 2026 launch
The film is facing intense competition from ongoing theatrical releases. Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar continues to dominate screens even in its fourth week, posting strong daily earnings. International releases are also adding pressure, with James Cameron’s Avatar Fire and Ash maintaining a solid run in its second week and drawing large crowds.
Other romantic comedies released this year have also fared better during comparable periods. Titles such as Bhool Chuk Maaf, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, Param Sundari and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari have managed to attract larger audiences and generate higher early collections, placing Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri at a disadvantage.
With weekday screenings ahead and strong competitors occupying theatres, the film’s box office journey will depend heavily on word of mouth and weekend growth. While crossing Rs 10 crore provides some relief, the coming days will be crucial in determining whether the film can stabilize its run or continue to struggle at the box office.
