New Delhi: Kannada superstar Yash’s much-awaited film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups is set to hit theatres on August 26, and the film has already started creating a buzz at the box office with its advance booking numbers.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film features a star-studded cast including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth in key roles.

Despite facing some criticism over its bold content, Toxic has generated strong excitement among fans and has emerged as one of the most awaited releases of the year.

Toxic Advance Booking Report: Over 1.76 Lakh Tickets Sold

According to industry tracking platform Sacnilk, Toxic has received an impressive response during its opening day advance booking.

The film has reportedly sold around 1.76 lakh tickets, collecting more than ₹7.58 crore in advance sales. Including blocked seats, the total pre-release collection has reached nearly ₹13.69 crore.

The early numbers indicate that Yash’s film could witness a strong opening at the box office.

Karnataka Leads Advance Booking Collection

The biggest contribution to Toxic’s advance booking has come from the Kannada market, especially Karnataka, where Yash enjoys a massive fan following after the success of the KGF franchise.

The Karnataka market has generated around ₹5.25 crore in gross advance bookings, which rises to approximately ₹8.19 crore when blocked seats are included.

Bengaluru has also recorded strong ticket sales, contributing significantly to the film’s early business.

Strong Response in Hindi Markets

The film has also performed well in Hindi-speaking regions. In Mumbai, Toxic has recorded advance bookings of around ₹20.03 lakh, while the figure rises to nearly ₹66.18 lakh with blocked seats included.

The National Capital Region (NCR) has contributed around ₹30.3 lakh, reaching approximately ₹80.02 lakh after including blocked seats.

These figures suggest that the film has managed to attract audiences beyond its core Kannada market.

‘A’ Certificate Without Cuts

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups an ‘A’ certificate. The film has reportedly been cleared without any cuts and will be restricted to viewers aged 18 years and above.

With strong advance bookings and high audience anticipation, Yash’s Toxic is expected to make a powerful start at the box office upon its release on August 26.
