Dhaka: A training plane from the Bangladesh Air Force crashed onto a college campus. At least 19 people died, and more than 160 were injured in this accident.

The plane, an F-7 trainer, hit a building on the campus. The crash happened on Monday. The school was in chaos as students and staff were present at the time. People were very scared. Police and firefighters arrived quickly to help.

National Burn Institute Officials Version

Prof Md Sayeedur Rahman, an official of the National Burn Institute, said the IAF plane crashed in the Milestone College campus. At least 19 people, including the pilot and co-pilot, were killed.

Hazrat Shahjalal Confirmed

A senior official at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport also confirmed the incident. Upon receiving the information, members of Bangladesh Army, Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.

The military's public relations office said an F-7 BGI trainer crashed into the Milestone School and College campus in the Diabari area of Dhaka’s Uttara area.

Lima Khan Statement

A fire official named Lima Khan said one person was killed and four were injured.

The plane took off around 1:06 pm and crashed shortly after. It caught fire after hitting the ground. Eight fire trucks were sent to put out the fire. A school representative said the plane crashed near the school gate. Classes were in session when the crash occurred, and the injured were being taken out.

Sadman Ruhsin Statement

A witness named Sadman Ruhsin said the plane hit the school building.
Soldiers and firefighters quickly arrived and helped rescue students and their parents. Army personnel were seen carrying injured students out in their arms.

A teacher of the school said that he was standing near the ten-storey college building when the plane hit the college campus. Shortly after 1 pm, the plane hit the front of the three-storey school building next to it, trapping many students inside. College teachers and staff rushed to rescue the students. He said that I pulled out an injured student and saw a female teacher in a burnt condition.
