New Delhi: On Tuesday, Donald Trump said that the U.S. military operations in Iran could end “very soon,” suggesting a possible timeline of two to three weeks. His comments come as his administration continues both diplomatic talks with Iranian officials and ongoing airstrikes, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Speaking at a White House event, Trump indicated that the U.S. is close to completing its objectives. “We’re finishing the job,” he said, adding that it could take “maybe two weeks, or maybe a couple of days longer.”

Exit Not Tied to Any Deal

Trump made it clear that the withdrawal of U.S. forces would not depend on reaching an agreement with Iran. “They don’t have to make a deal with me,” he told reporters in the Oval Office.

According to Trump, the U.S. goal is to weaken Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons. “Once that is achieved, then we'll leave,” he said. “Whether we have a deal or not, it's irrelevant.”

Strait of Hormuz Tensions Rise

The conflict has also affected global oil supplies. Iran has effectively blocked the Strait of Hormuz, the key route for oil tankers. This has caused concern among countries that rely on oil shipments through this region.

Trump responded by telling other nations to handle this situation by themselves. “If countries want oil, they can go get it,” he said, adding that the U.S. would not continue protecting tanker traffic there.

“Go Get Your Own Oil,” Trump Says

In a Truth Social post earlier Tuesday, Trump told countries that are struggling with fuel shortages to "go get your own oil" in the Strait of Hormuz. “The U.S.A. won’t be there to help you anymore,” he wrote, suggesting that countries like China and European nations should manage their own oil shipments.

He argued that the U.S. has already done most of the work in weakening Iran and securing the region.

Defense Secretary Calls Coming Days “Decisive”

Pete Hegseth supported Trump’s stance by saying the next few days in the conflict will be critical.

“The upcoming days will be decisive,” Hegseth said, adding that Iran has limited ability to respond militarily. He also did not rule out the possibility of U.S. ground troops being involved if needed.

Visit to U.S. Troops

Hegseth revealed that he recently made an unannounced visit to U.S. forces in the region under United States Central Command. For security reasons, he did not disclose the exact locations of the bases or troops.

Situation Still Uncertain

While Trump has suggested that the end of operations may be near, the situation remains uncertain. Fighting continues, and the impact on global oil supply and regional stability is still unfolding.
