From celebration to tragedy: US airstrike on an Iran wedding turned deadly, killing 5 people and injuring over 50 (Img: X)
Tehran: The ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran has taken a tragic turn after a reported airstrike hit a wedding gathering in southern Iran. Iranian officials said the attack killed five people, including a four-year-old child, while more than 50 others were injured.
The incident has triggered fresh anger in Tehran and raised concerns that the conflict between the two countries could widen further.
Targeting a wedding and slaughtering innocent civilians in Kuhestak, Iran, is the ultimate proof of the utter desperation of the fake defenders of human rights, a repetition of their atrocities in Minab and Lamerd.

The strike reportedly hit a residential area in Kuhestak, Sirik County, Hormozgan province, located near the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. The area was reportedly hosting a wedding celebration when the attack took place.
What was supposed to be a moment of celebration quickly turned into chaos, with rescue teams rushing to the spot and injured people being shifted for medical assistance.
Iran strongly criticised the strike and accused the United States of causing civilian casualties. Iranian officials said the deaths of civilians would not be ignored and warned of a strong response.
The attack has further increased tensions between Washington and Tehran, which have already been engaged in a series of military exchanges.

The strike came amid renewed attacks between both sides. The United States said it targeted locations linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), including military infrastructure and communication facilities.
Iran responded with missile and drone attacks against US-linked positions in the region, adding another dangerous chapter to the escalating conflict.
The latest developments have increased worries over the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial route for global oil transportation. Any major disruption in the region could affect energy markets and fuel prices worldwide.
With both countries continuing military actions, the possibility of further escalation remains a major global concern.
