Aseem Foundation organized three days tour for students
Srinagar: The Aseem Foundation, in partnership with the Indian Army, recently organized a three-day educational tour for students from Maharashtra to Keran on the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
The aim of this educational and motivational tour was to promote national integration and foster a stronger bond between citizens and the Indian Armed Forces.
The group spent three days with the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion operating in Keran, gaining firsthand exposure to the challenges and responsibilities of soldiers serving in high-altitude border areas. The students interacted with troops, observed their daily routines, and witnessed the discipline, endurance, and commitment required to safeguard the nation’s frontiers.
As part of their itinerary, the visitors explored a Company Operating Base (COB), took part in a patrolling exercise, and witnessed a display of modern weapons and equipment. They even participated in a controlled live-fire demonstration, providing them a glimpse into the operational readiness of the Army in such sensitive zones.
The group was also shown enemy posts across the LoC, helping them understand the vigilance and challenges involved in maintaining peace and security in the region.
Students spent time with Indian Army
In addition to their interaction with soldiers, the students visited the Pharkian Brigade Headquarters and Vajra Division Headquarters, where they met the Brigade Commander and Division Commander. The officers briefed them about the functioning of military headquarters, operational coordination, and the leadership required to ensure effective command in border areas.
While taking to Dynamite News, one of the students said that this was a lifetime experience for all of us. He said, “Meeting the soldiers and commanders, and seeing how they live and work in such tough conditions, has deeply inspired me. I now understand what true service and leadership mean.”
While highlighting the objectives of this educational tour, one of the spokesperson of Aseem Foundation said, “This initiative was undertaken to inspire young minds by exposing them to the courage, discipline, and commitment of our soldiers who guard the nation’s borders with selfless devotion. We believe such experiences instill pride, patriotism, and a deeper sense of responsibility among the youth.”
At the end of the visit the students went on a sightseeing around the scenic Keran Valley to feel and appreciate the natural beauty. The could also understand the strategic importance of the place.
