Dehradun: Punjabi singer Jasmine Sandlas has become the subject of widespread discussion after a video from her recent concert in Dehradun surfaced online, allegedly showing her being mobbed while interacting with fans near the stage.

The clip has prompted criticism of crowd behaviour and renewed concerns over the safety of performers during large public events.

What the Viral Video Shows

Jasmine reportedly performed before a large gathering at Parade Ground in Dehradun on July 17. During the free concert, she entertained the audience with popular songs including Sip Sip, Shararat and Lawan. Social media clips from the event show packed crowds gathered at the venue.

According to the viral post, the singer moved closer to the front row after fans offered her flowers and extended their hands to greet her. She was then surrounded by several people, with the social media user alleging that some individuals touched her inappropriately.

The exact circumstances shown in the clip have not been independently verified, and no official statement from Jasmine or the event organisers was available at the time of reporting.

Social Media Users Condemn Crowd Behaviour

As the video circulated across X and Instagram, users called for greater respect for women and artists at public events. Several argued that performers should be able to interact with audiences without fearing harassment or physical intrusion.

Others said responsibility should not be placed on the entire crowd, but on individuals who crossed personal boundaries. Many demanded better barricading, stronger security arrangements and accountability for misconduct.

Safety Concerns at Concerts

The latest controversy has also brought earlier safety incidents involving Jasmine’s concerts back into focus. In May, she halted another Dehradun performance after barricades near the audience reportedly collapsed, causing brief panic. She was seen urging her team to prioritise crowd safety.

The singer had also previously stopped a Delhi concert after allegedly noticing harassment of women in the audience, asking security personnel to intervene before she resumed performing.
