Mumbai Police have arrested actor and self-styled film critic Kamaal R Khan in connection with the Oshiwara firing incident. The firing, which occurred at a residential building in Andheri, involved four rounds allegedly discharged from KRK’s licensed firearm.

Mumbai: Mumbai Police have arrested actor, producer, and social media celebrity Kamaal R Khan, also known as KRK, in connection with the shooting at a residential building in Mumbai's Oshiwara area. According to the police, four rounds of gunfire were fired at a residential building in Andheri on January 18th, causing panic in the area. While the initial investigation didn't identify the suspect, it has now become clear that KRK was the one who fired the shots.
During police interrogation, Kamaal R Khan admitted that the shooting was from his licensed gun and that he was the one who fired the shots. However, KRK maintains that he did not intend to harm anyone. He told police that he was cleaning his gun and fired to test it. There is a mangrove forest in front of his house and he thought the bullet would stop there.

KRK also stated in his defense that there was a strong wind blowing at the time of his firing. Due to the wind direction and speed, the bullet traveled a greater distance than expected and hit a nearby residential building. Writer-director Neeraj Kumar Mishra and model Prateek Baid live in the same building. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, but due to the seriousness of the matter, police took action.
Following an investigation, Mumbai Police detained KRK from his studio and later formally arrested him. Police also seized the licensed gun used in the firing. Officials say the legal process in the case is ongoing and they are also investigating whether any rules were violated in the use of the licensed weapon.

Kamaal R. Khan, in addition to being an actor, also calls himself a film critic. He is known for his outspoken and controversial statements on social media. He has become known for his outspoken criticism of Bollywood films and stars. KRK has acted in the film "Deshdrohi" and has also worked as a producer in the film industry.

The Mumbai Police have appealed to the public to use any type of weapon with extreme caution and within the bounds of the law. Such negligence in residential areas can pose a serious threat. Further investigation into the Oshiwara shooting is currently underway, and the police are taking all aspects into account.
