Doda: A horrific accident occurred in Doda district on Thursday when an army vehicle fell into a deep gorge, killing 10 soldiers and injuring 12 others. The vehicle, a bulletproof Casper, was traveling towards a high-altitude army post on the Bhaderwah-Chamba road when the driver reportedly lost control, causing it to plunge approximately 200 feet into the gorge near Khanni Top.
Army and local police teams immediately launched a rescue operation to evacuate the injured. Several soldiers were rushed to nearby military medical centres, and three were reported to be in critical condition. Airlifting was arranged for the most severely injured to the Udhampur military hospital.

Local authorities confirmed that the vehicle was carrying 21 personnel at the time of the accident. Four bodies have been recovered so far, and nine soldiers have been rescued in critical condition. The remaining injured personnel are receiving treatment at nearby army medical facilities.

Army officials expressed deep grief over the incident and assured that a thorough investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the crash. The vehicle was enroute to a post located at high altitude, and the terrain in the area is known to be challenging.
