The fatal accident has once again drawn attention to safety concerns surrounding e-rickshaws in the national capital. Official data indicates that more than two lakh e-rickshaws are registered in Delhi. However, enforcement sources suggest the actual number operating on city roads may be significantly higher.
Authorities note that many such vehicles ply in congested residential and market areas, sometimes without strict adherence to traffic rules or safety norms. Further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
