New Delhi: Air India flight AI-171, which was a Boeing Dreamliner aircraft, left for Ahmedabad's Gatwick Airport and became a victim of a fierce accident after a few moments of takeoff.

In the accident, only one of the 242 passengers survived, while the rest died tragically. The accident has shocked the entire country, and serious questions have arisen about aviation security.

According to the Dynamite News correspondent, the government has formed a high-level committee to investigate the incident very seriously. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has shared its information on its official social media handle (x).

Why this committee?

According to the ministry, this committee will work to identify the major causes of the aircraft accident. It will also do a thorough review of the existing standard operating process (SOP) and guidelines.

The aim of the committee is that such incidents do not recur in the future and the level of aviation security can be further strengthened.

The committee will not only review the existing rules but will also propose new and comprehensive guidelines that are more effective in dealing with emergency situations.

Investigation report and deadline

The ministry has clarified that this committee is not an option for technical or forensic investigations being conducted by other agencies. Its focus will only be on strengthening future security strategies and management systems.

The committee will soon start the investigation process and submit the report in a time-bound manner.

After the accident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself reached Ahmedabad on the spot on Friday. He reached the spot, reviewed the situation, and came to know about the condition of the injured.
