Babbar Khalsa International terrorist Paraminder Singh, alias Pindi, extradited from UAE to India

New Delhi: Recently, Paraminder Singh, alias Pindi, a wanted terrorist of the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), was extradited to India from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav described this extradition as a result of the efforts of the Punjab Police and the cooperation of the relevant agencies of the Central Government. He has been involved in several serious incidents, including petrol bomb attacks, violent attacks, and extortion in the Batala-Gurdaspur area. He is considered a most wanted terrorist by the Punjab Police under its zero tolerance policy against terrorism and organized crime. Extradition Process Following the issuance of a Red Corner Notice (RCN) by the Batala police, a four-member team led by a senior police officer arrived. The team went to the UAE on September 24th and, in cooperation with the Ministry of External Affairs and UAE authorities, completed all legal formalities and brought the accused back to India. Message from the Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav stated that this extradition demonstrates the Punjab Police's strong policy against terrorism and organized crime and its advanced investigative capabilities. He also thanked the Central Government, the Ministry of External Affairs, and the UAE Government for their cooperation in making this move possible. He stated that there is no place for terrorism in Punjab, and this is an important step to strengthen the security system. Current Situation Regarding Terrorism in Punjab According to the Punjab Police, the National Investigation Agency (NIA), and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), several individuals linked to terrorism, especially members of Khalistani organizations such as the BKI, KLF, and KZF, against whom Red Corner Notices have been issued, are actively involved in attacks, murders, and terror financing in Punjab. Continuous efforts are underway to arrest them.
