Bangladesh Panics: Will India Shut Off Ganga Water Like It Did to Pakistan?

New Delhi: The Indian government has started treating Bangladesh along with Pakistan.

Now the biggest question is that after suspending the Indus Water Treaty, is India going to stop the Ganga water flowing to Bangladesh? A very big statement has come regarding this.

We will talk about this later, but first see what effect the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty has had on Pakistan.

Pakistanis were constantly singing songs that India could not stop the water. It will take India the next 10 years to stop so much water, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

India does not have that much storage capacity. India has made a short, medium, and long-term strategy to stop Pakistan’s water. In the medium and long-term strategy, India will create such infrastructure so that the water of all the rivers can be stopped. But India cannot wait so long to make Pakistan shed tears of blood. That is why a short-term plan has been implemented.

This short term plan of India has caused four major devastations in Pakistan

First devastation: As soon as the Indus Water Treaty is cancelled, India will no longer give Pakistan information about the impact of rivers, flood warnings and melting of glaciers. This will increase the possibility of drought and floods in Pakistan. Pakistan will no longer get any information about the water level of the Indus River and its tributaries.

Second devastation: India can now build its hydroelectric projects on the western rivers (Indus, Jhelum, Chenab) that are part of Pakistan without consulting Pakistan. If India starts building dams on Jhelum and Chenab, Pakistan will just keep screaming. Now that the treaty has been suspended, it is up to India to do whatever it wants.

Third devastation: Pakistan’s Indus Water Commissioner will no longer be able to inspect Indian territory. The people of Pakistan will no longer get any information about Indian projects.

Fourth setback: The Permanent Indus Commission will no longer publish any report. Its direct effect will be that Pakistan will not be able to make irrigation and agriculture plans. When there is no information about water from India, how will Pakistan make policies?

Bangladesh is also scared seeing this condition of Pakistan because the demand to stop Bangladesh’s water has also been raised. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has said that “Bangladesh is very restless. Now the time has come to stop the water of the Ganges river going to Bangladesh. Ganga water should not be given to the sinners of Bangladesh.”

For information, let us tell you that a treaty was signed between India and Bangladesh in 1996 regarding the water of the Ganges. This treaty is ending in 2026.

In such a situation, there is a demand that India should not renew this treaty. Like Pakistan, Bangladesh will also have to suffer, because both these countries have hurt India.
