New Delhi: A fresh political confrontation over the Election Commission and electoral roll revision has intensified as opposition INDIA bloc parties prepare for a key meeting in New Delhi on September 30.
The meeting comes at a time when several opposition parties have raised concerns over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise of electoral rolls and questioned aspects related to the functioning of the poll panel.
Sources said INDIA bloc leaders are expected to discuss a joint political strategy and decide their next steps regarding the Election Commission issue.
