CJI Flags Off Mediation Walkathon
Panaji: On Friday morning, a symbolic 2-km Mediation Awareness Walkathon was organized at Kala Academy, Panaji. The route passed through Dayanand Bandodkar Road, Yog Setu near ESG, and Mandovi Riverfront Promenade, highlighting the importance of amicable dispute resolution.
After the walkathon, Chief Justice Surya Kant participated in a plantation and cleanliness drive along the Mandovi Riverfront. The initiative encouraged citizens to contribute to a cleaner and greener environment while raising awareness about mediation.
The walkathon and drive were organized ahead of the National Conference on Mediation in Goa. Several judges, including CJI Surya Kant, participated to promote mediation as an effective, peaceful, and efficient conflict resolution tool.
