New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta handed over checks of Rs. 1 crore each to the families of 11 government employees who lost their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking on the occasion, she stated that this financial assistance is not merely compensation but a symbol of the government's respect and gratitude for the courage, service, and sacrifice of these brave employees.

The Chief Minister said that these employees, whether doctors, nurses, sanitation workers, or paramedics, all served the public without caring for their lives during the most difficult times of the pandemic.

She also emphasized that while no government can fully alleviate such grief, it is the government's responsibility to provide all possible assistance to these families.
