New Delhi: The beginning of September has brought signs of a change in weather conditions across Delhi-NCR. While strong sunlight and humidity troubled residents on Monday, the weather pattern is now expected to shift, with cloudy skies and chances of rain forecast in the coming days.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi may witness partly cloudy skies on Tuesday, September 1. The capital recorded a maximum temperature of around 36°C on Monday, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.7°C. Despite cloud cover throughout the day, no rainfall was reported in any part of the city.

Temperature To Remain Between 26°C And 37°C

The IMD has predicted that Delhi’s minimum temperature on Tuesday may remain between 26°C and 28°C, while the maximum temperature is expected to stay between 35°C and 37°C.

Wind speeds are likely to remain around 10 to 15 kmph, with gusts reaching up to 20-25 kmph, providing some relief from the humid conditions.

Rain Chances Increase In Evening And Night

According to the weather forecast, chances of rain during Tuesday morning and afternoon remain low. However, strong winds may reduce the feeling of heat and humidity.

Light to moderate rainfall is possible in some parts of Delhi during the evening or night hours, bringing temporary relief to residents.

Delhi Air Quality Remains ‘Moderate’

Delhi’s air quality remained in the ‘Moderate’ category on Monday, with the average Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 118.

Officials expect the air quality to remain in the normal range on Tuesday as well.

What To Expect In The First Week Of September?

The coming days could be significant for Delhi-NCR weather. The forecast suggests cloudy conditions will continue till September 2, with chances of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning during afternoon or evening hours.

Between September 3 and 7, several parts of Delhi-NCR may receive moderate rainfall, with some areas likely to witness heavy showers.

The rainfall could lead to a drop in temperatures, providing relief from the prolonged humid weather.

However, weather conditions may vary across different areas. While some locations may only receive light showers, others could experience heavier rainfall. Residents are advised to keep an eye on local weather updates as September’s first week unfolds.
