The death toll in Vaishno Devi landslide has jumped to 34. The pilgrimage to the Shrine still remained suspended. Educational institutions in the Union Territory remained closed.
The prices of tomato, ladyfinger, arvi have also increased. Cabbage and peas are being supplied from Himachal Pradesh, whose prices are sky high.
The first incident is from Sikthi village of Bhabua police station area. Where 70-year-old Kashmira Kunwar, wife of late Hira Gond, died due to lightning. She was going to plant paddy in the village’s wasteland.
The IMD has warned of heavy rains in northwest, central, east and northeastern India till 4 July.
