New Delhi: Delhi-NCR is going to have yet another day of cloudy sky and light rain as per the prediction of Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) with pleasant temperatures along with high levels of humidity.

People were greeted by a gloomy morning today on Saturday, despite having better weather for a few days after which people had got respite from the hot weather prevailing earlier in the week. As per the prediction of the IMD, light rains are expected in some parts of the National Capital Region, whereas the maximum temperature is expected to be around 33 degrees Celsius.

Humidity Continues to be a Worrying Factor

Despite rains in intervals bringing some relief during the day, it is still expected to hover between 75 and 95 percent, causing some discomfort. In Delhi, the maximum temperature on Friday was 35 degrees Celsius, slightly higher than the normal seasonal figure, whereas Palam experienced a maximum of 33.5 degrees Celsius.

Likely to See Similar Weather Conditions in the Next Few Days

According to the IMD, the current weather conditions will continue to prevail until August 4. The weather is expected to remain cloudy with some rain and temperatures of about 33 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperatures are likely to gradually fall to 23–24 degrees Celsius. There is no weather advisory for Delhi-NCR.

Heavy Rain Alert for Several States

Beyond the national capital, the IMD has warned of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and gusty winds of up to 60 kmph across 19 states, including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Authorities have advised farmers and fishermen to remain cautious, while hilly regions have been alerted to possible landslides and isolated hailstorm activity due to adverse weather conditions.
