Baramulla: The spirit of patriotism filled the atmosphere in Baramulla as students of Delhi Public School (DPS) Baramulla organised a vibrant Tiranga Rally ahead of Independence Day celebrations. Carrying the national flag with pride, students marched together to spread the message of unity, discipline and respect for the nation.

The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers and members of the school staff, who joined the event as part of the nationwide celebrations leading up to August 15. The Tricolour remained the centre of attraction throughout the programme as students showcased their commitment towards national values and the ideals associated with India’s freedom struggle.

The young participants, dressed in their school uniforms, walked with confidence while holding the national flag and expressing their patriotic sentiments. The initiative aimed at creating awareness among students about the importance of the Tiranga, the sacrifices of freedom fighters and the responsibility of citizens in strengthening the nation.

Celebrating India's Rich Heritage

A special banner displayed during the rally carried the message of One Nation, One Flag, One Pride, highlighting the theme of national integration and collective identity. The objective of the programme was to promote unity among citizens while celebrating India’s rich democratic and cultural heritage.

The school administration organised the rally as part of a series of Independence Day activities designed to encourage students’ participation in national events, with an aim to develop civic awareness, leadership qualities and a sense of social responsibility among young learners.

The Tiranga Rally also provided students with an opportunity to connect with the significance of Independence Day beyond classroom learning. Through active participation in patriotic activities, students were encouraged to understand the importance of constitutional values, national symbols and the role of youth in nation-building.

Teachers and school officials supported the initiative and appreciated the enthusiasm shown by students. The event highlighted the role of educational institutions in nurturing responsible citizens and strengthening the bond between young generations and the country’s history.

The programme concluded peacefully, with students and staff reaffirming their commitment to the values of unity, patriotism and national pride. The rally became a symbol of collective participation as Baramulla joined celebrations being organised across India ahead of the 80th Independence Day.
