New Delhi: The results of the 2025 Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) elections have been declared. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) candidate Aryan Maan secured a landslide victory for the post of President. He defeated his nearest rival, NSUI candidate Joslyn Nandita Chaudhary, by a margin of 16,196 votes. Aryan Maan received a total of 28,841 votes, while Joslyn received 12,645.

Counting and Election Process

Counting began at 8 am in the Multipurpose Hall of the University Sports Stadium on Delhi University's North Campus. Aryan Maan held a strong lead from the beginning and maintained his lead until the end. Compared to last year, the ABVP won the President's post, as well as the Secretary and Joint Secretary positions. The NSUI won the Vice President position.

Aryan Maan's Educational and Sports Profile

Aryan Maan hails from Lova Kalan village in Haryana. He attended St. Thomas School in Bahadurgarh. He completed his 12th grade from GD Goenka School in Vasant Kunj, Delhi. He then graduated with a B.Com degree from Hansraj College, Delhi University's North Campus. He is currently pursuing an MA in Library Science from DU.

Aryan Maan is also a national-level footballer. He played football at the national level for the Delhi team and secured admission to the university through the sports quota.

Family Background

According to media reports, Aryan's father, Sikander, is a prominent liquor businessman in Haryana. He runs a company called ADS Spirits Private Limited in Jhajjar, where he is the executive director. Aryan's father has also served as the sarpanch of his village twice.
