New Delhi: The Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) election result 2025 will be announced today, 19 September. A total of 21 candidates are contesting for four posts on the central panel. Aryan Maan of ABVP is leading for the President post with 1,696 votes, as per the first round counting data.
The neck to neck fight is expected for the key posts- president, vice-president, secretary, and joint secretary between BJP backed ABVP, Congress's NSUI and left alliance- SFI and AISA.

As per the reports, Aryan Maan of ABVP is leading in the President post during the first round counting.
Aryan Maan, ABVP- 1,696 votes
Joslin Nandita Choudhary, NSUI- 714 votes.

It is to be noted that nine candidates are fighting for the President’s post alone, while 12 others are in for the remaining positions.
Counting of votes began at 9 am Friday at the Convention Centre in North Campus, with the final results expected by evening.
As per the reports, of the 1.53 lakh registered voters, 60,272 students cast their ballots, pushing this year’s turnout to 39.36%. The figure marks a small rise from last year’s 35.2%, however is less than the 42% recorded in 2023.
The DUSU presidential race is witnessing a rare spotlight on women candidates, with two of the three main contenders being women. The Congress-backed NSUI has nominated Joslyn Nandita Choudhary, while the SFI-AISA alliance has fielded Anjali. The third candidate in the fray is Aryan Maan, representing the ABVP.

Key contenders for the president's post include
1- Joslyn Nandita Choudhary (NSUI): Postgraduate in Buddhist Studies.
2- Anjali (SFI-AISA): Student of Indraprastha College for Women.
3- Aryan Maan (ABVP): MA Library Science student.
Each group has promised reforms, inclusivity, and student welfare in their manifestos.
