Election commission of India has extended the last dates for SIR in Andhra Pradesh and Haryana by 10 days

The Election Commission of India has extended the SIR of the electoral roll enumeration by 10 days on Tuesday, 14th July 2026. The ECI has extended the dates in Andhra Pradesh and Haryana, following a request from CEO Vivek Yadav. 

The ECI has extended the house-to-house visits by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) till 24th July 2026. The house-to-house visits by BLOs was started on 15th June with a deadline of 14th July as per the original advisory issued by the authority. 

“The Commission has decided to revise the said (Special Intensive Revision) schedule for Andhra Pradesh.” said a letter from the poll body to Chief Election Officer Vivek Yadav, highlighting the revised dates. 

According to the new schedule issued by ECI, rationalisation and rearrangement of polling stations is extended till 24th July, and the draft Electoral Roll will be published on 31st July. 

The poll body has also stated that claims and objections can be filed for a month from 31st July 2026 to 30th August, followed by the notice phase and disposal of claims and objections from 31st July to 28th September. As per the latest update from ECI, the final publication of the Electoral Roll will be done on 10th October 2026.
