New Delhi: For the fifth day today, both the Houses of Parliament adjourned till Monday without any business or discussion on any issue. In Rajya Sabha today, at 2pm Vande Mataram Bill was tabled.
New Delhi : The Monsoon session of Parliament entered its fifth day amid a continued deadlock over NEET paper leak and other issues. Both the Houses-- Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha-- have witnessed repeated disruptions since the session began on July 20, with the Opposition demanding a detailed discussion on the issue and the resignation of Education Minister Dharmedra Pradhan.
The protests have also centred on the police action during the Cockroach Janta Party's(CJP) ' Sansad Chalo' march, while the government has accused the opposition of avoiding a debate. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiran Rijuju said the opposition is imposing " pre-conditions " instead of participating in a discussion, adding that the government is ready to present its side as well.

When Rajya Sabha met at 2 pm , after two adjournments, Chair allowed Minister of state for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai to introduce the Prevention of Insults to National Honour ( amendment) Bill, 2026.Opposition members, particularly from Left parties, opposed the introduction of the Bill.
However, the proposed legislation was introduced after a voice vote. As the Chairman urged the House to start discussion on the bill, the Opposition created an uproar, leading to adjournment of the House for Monday.
