Zinnia Arora bags AIR 6 in civil services 2025 exam
New Delhi: Zinnia Aurora has secured All India Rank (AIR) 6 in the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination 2025, the final results of which were announced on Friday. Her achievement places her among the top performers in one of the country’s most competitive examinations.
The Civil Services Examination is conducted annually by the Union Public Service Commission to recruit officers for several prestigious services of the Government of India. This year, a total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment across various central services.

Zinnia Aurora’s journey to the top ranks is particularly notable as she left a promising career at the World Bank to prepare for the civil services examination. Before pursuing the exam full-time, she had also worked with international organisations such as the United Nations, gaining exposure to global policy and development issues.
She completed her graduation from St. Stephen’s College in Delhi, one of the country’s leading educational institutions. Her academic interests in global politics and diplomacy later shaped her preparation for the UPSC examination.
For the Civil Services Examination, Zinnia chose Political Science and International Relations as her optional subject, reflecting her interest in global affairs and governance. Her long-term goal is to join the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and represent India on the international stage.
Apart from her professional aspirations, Zinnia is also a co-founder of PeaceX, a non-profit initiative that encourages young people to engage with social issues and public policy.

Zinnia had earlier appeared for the Civil Services Examination in 2024 and secured AIR 156. Determined to improve her performance, she reappeared for the exam and successfully entered the top 10 rank holders this year.
