Rampur (UP): The release of Samajwadi Party national general secretary Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam Khan from jail appears closer, following the bail granted to both by the Allahabad High Court in the two PAN cards case. The release warrant is expected to reach Rampur District Jail at any time, provided the remaining legal formalities are completed.
Azam Khan and Abdullah Azam were granted bail by the Allahabad High Court in the case involving two PAN cards. Following the court's order, their lawyers have stepped up efforts to complete the documentation required for their release.
According to information, the release warrants could not be issued as the verification of some sureties remained incomplete. The process is expected to move forward on Saturday, with the legal team working to fulfil the pending requirements.
The release of the father-son duo depends on the verification of sureties and completion of other legal formalities. If all requirements are fulfilled and no fresh legal hurdles emerge, the release warrant may reach Rampur District Jail during the day. Once the jail authorities receive the official release order, they will initiate the necessary procedures.
Despite growing anticipation over their possible release, no significant activity has been witnessed outside Rampur District Jail so far. There has been no large gathering of Samajwadi Party workers, while no special police deployment or activity has been reported. Meanwhile, their lawyers continue to work on the necessary paperwork. All eyes are now on the completion of surety verification and the arrival of the release warrant.
The final decision on their release will depend on the completion of the prescribed legal formalities.
