New Delhi: Delhiites are likely to witness yet another hot day on Thursday with the mercury expected to touch 44 degrees Celsius. The latest weather bulletin says the minimum temperature is likely to settle around 33 degrees Celsius, offering little relief from the unrelenting heat that has gripped the national capital.

The mercury is expected to stay around 35 degrees Celsius for much of the day, making it hot and uncomfortable in many parts of the city. Weather officials have also forecasted moderate winds blowing at a speed of nearly 7.69 kmph. Gusty winds could be up to 9.24 kmph in a south-easterly direction at around 150 degrees.

Sunrise Sunset Timings for Thursday

The sun will rise over Delhi at 05:24 AM on Thursday and set at 07:12 PM, which means a long and very warm day for the residents. Authorities have advised people to drink plenty of fluids and stay indoors as much as possible during the hot hours of the afternoon.

Seven day forecast points to more heat

Delhi is expected to experience high temperatures with slight variations in the weather forecast for the coming week. Thursday is expected to be the hottest day with a high of 44 degrees Celsius before easing back to 43 degrees Celsius on Friday. On Saturday, there could be a slightly cooler spell with temperatures probably around 38 degrees Celsius.

However, the heat is expected to intensify again from Sunday onwards, with temperatures ranging from 40 to 44 degrees Celsius through next Wednesday, suggesting that hot weather conditions are far from over in the capital.
