Rajouri: A clash broke out among inmates inside a jail in Rajouri on Saturday following a heated argument between two prisoners.
Sources said that the altercation between the two inmates—one from Kashmir and the other from Rajouri—soon escalated, leading to a scuffle involving several other prisoners inside the jail premises.
During the clash, some inmates allegedly pelted stones at prison guards, prompting authorities to immediately intervene to control the situation, they said.
Sources said additional personnel were deployed inside the jail and security was tightened in and around the prison premises as a precautionary measure.
