New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Wednesday arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of a 22-year-old woman, daughter of a senior civil servant, at her residence in Kailash Hills.
Officials confirmed that the accused is a former domestic worker who had been employed at the victim’s home until about six weeks ago.
CCTV Footage Aids Investigation
Investigators relied on key video evidence to identify the suspect. Two CCTV clips reportedly show the accused approaching the residence at around 6:28 am and leaving approximately an hour later.

Details of the Crime
According to preliminary findings, the victim was allegedly assaulted and then killed inside her home. Police suspect that a mobile phone charging cable may have been used in the act.
The woman, who was preparing for the Union Public Service Commission examination, was found unresponsive earlier in the day, prompting immediate police intervention.
Motive Under Investigation
Officials believe the suspect’s previous employment at the residence may have played a role in the crime. However, the exact motive is yet to be established.
