2 terrorists killed in encounter by security forces
Srinagar: The encounter between security forces and terrorists is going on in Kulgam, Jammu. During this, the soldiers have killed two terrorists so far in the encounter that took place late night in the Akhal area of the district (Kulgam Encounter).

In a post on the social media account, the Chinar Corps of the Indian Army said that intermittent and intense shelling continued throughout the night in Kulgam. Alert soldiers responded to the terrorists with firing and tightened the cordon to prevent the terrorists from escaping.
Terrorist identified
A terrorist killed in Kulgam has been identified. The name of the terrorist killed late night was Haris Nazir Dar, a resident of Rajpora under Pulwama. Weapons and ammunition including an AK-47 rifle, AK magazine and grenades were recovered during the search operation.

Earlier, the Army's White Knight Corps said that the encounter started on July 30 after Indian Army soldiers detected suspicious activity near the border fence on the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to officials, the soldiers who were on alert on the Line of Control noticed the activity of two persons under suspicious circumstances in the general area of Poonch sector. On being challenged by the soldiers, the suspected terrorists started firing, after which the army also retaliated.
In a post on X, the White Knight Corps said that the White Knight Corps got in touch with the terrorists. Our own soldiers noticed suspicious activity of two persons near the fence in the general area of Poonch sector and firing took place. In which one terrorist was killed.
