This change will be effective from 22 September 2025. The new prices will prove beneficial for common consumers as well as farmers and the dairy industry.

Which products have reduced prices?

Packed UHT Milk: Now the GST on this milk has been reduced to 0%, whereas earlier it was 5%. This will directly reduce its value, and consumers will get cheaper milk.

Cottage cheese, ghee, butter, cheese, milkshake, and ice cream: The GST on all these dairy products has been reduced from 12-18% to 5%. This will also provide a lot of relief in their prices.

Processed food items: Food products like frozen snacks, jams, pickles, coconut water, and tomato puree will now attract 5% GST, as opposed to 12% earlier.

Which products will not see price changes?

Mother Dairy also clarified that full cream milk, toned milk, and cow milk, which come in poly packs, were already free of GST. Hence, there will be no change in the prices of these products.
