New Delhi: The National Testing Agency on Sunday released the city intimation slips for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination scheduled to be held on June 21. Candidates appearing for the medical entrance re-test can now download their exam city slips from the official NTA website.

The re-exam was announced after the May 3 NEET-UG examination was cancelled following allegations of a paper leak. More than 22 lakh students had appeared for the original examination across the country.

How candidates can download city slips

Students can access their city intimation slips by visiting the official NEET portal and logging in with their application credentials.

Steps to download:

  • Visit the official website: neet.nta.nic.in
  • Click on the “Present Address and Exam City Updation Window for NEET (UG) 2026” link
  • Enter application number, password and captcha
  • The exam city slip will appear on the screen
  • Download and save a copy for future use

The city slip informs candidates about the location of their allotted examination centre city ahead of the admit card release.

Re-exam to be held in pen-and-paper mode

According to the NTA, the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode from 2 pm to 5:15 pm on June 21. The examination will be held across 551 cities in India and 14 international cities.

The agency also clarified that admit cards for the re-test will be released separately at a later date.

Paper leak probe underway

The NEET-UG re-exam was ordered after allegations of a question paper leak surfaced following the May 3 examination. The matter is currently being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had earlier confirmed the June 21 re-test date. The NTA said efforts were made to allot candidates their preferred exam cities wherever possible.
