New Delhi: After US President Donald Trump's statement on the ceasefire between India and Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, the opposition has once again attacked the central government, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Trump had said that the US had brought about a ceasefire between the two countries, while the government says that there was no interference from any third country.

On this issue, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar once again clarified India's stand and said that we told all the countries that if Pakistan stops, we will also stop; if not, we will give a strong response.

In the meeting of the Consultative Committee on Foreign Affairs, Jaishankar said that whenever any country asked us, we said that if Pakistan fires, we will also respond, and if it stops, we will also stop.

On the US intervention, Jaishankar said that after the first phase of Operation Sindoor, when the US Secretary told us that Pakistan could launch a major attack, we replied that if Pakistan launched a major attack, we were also ready to launch a bigger attack.

On Trump's ceasefire statement, the foreign minister said that the ceasefire was done through talks between the DGMOs of the two countries, and no third country had any role in it.

On the controversy over his statement, S. Jaishankar clarified the situation and said that after Operation Sindoor, Pakistan was immediately told that we were only targeting terrorist hideouts.

He also appealed to the members of the committee that if anyone needs any information, they should directly contact the government and not go to the media and question Operation Sindoor, because this spoils the atmosphere and gives Pakistan an opportunity. Apart from this, Operation Sindoor is not over yet.
