New Delhi: The budget session of the Parliament will not be adjourned sine die this evening, since the government has decided to reconvene the session from April 16 for three days. The original schedule was up to April 2, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
Sources said that the government would take up for consederations amendments to the Women Reservation Bill 2023, with an aim to speed up its implementation.
In order to implement the women reservation, the government has decided to go for delimitation of the constituencies based on the 2011 Census. The Lok Sabha strength would be increased to 816 members from the present 543, of which 273 seats would be reserved for women.
Presiding officers would announce the dates this evening, by giving a two-week recess to Parliament.
