The budget session of the Parliament has been paused for a two-week recess and will resume on April 16. Major bills, including the CAPF and Jan Vishwas amendments, were passed ahead of key constitutional discussions.
Parliament’s Budget Session will be extended with sittings scheduled from April 16 to 18. The government plans to discuss amendments to the Women Reservation Act and move ahead with delimitation and expansion of Lok Sabha seats based on the 2011 Census.
