PM Modi launches Vikasit Bharat Rojgar Yojana: Rs 15,000 Monthly Aid for Youth Employment

On Independence Day, PM Modi announced a new scheme offering ₹15,000/month to first-time private sector employees, aiming to empower 3.5 crore youth, boost employment, and strengthen India’s economy as part of the ‘Viksit Bharat’ vision.

New Delhi: On 15 August 2025, India celebrated its 79th Independence Day. On this historic occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a big announcement for the youth of the country from the Red Fort and launched the "Pradhan Mantri Vikasit Bharat Rojgar Yojana." This scheme has been implemented across the country from 1 August 2025, and its main objective is to provide financial assistance to the youth and connect them with new employment opportunities.

Main objective of the scheme

Under this scheme, youth starting a job in the private sector for the first time will be given financial assistance of ₹15,000 per month by the government. This amount will be given to them in two installments as the first month's salary. Its goal is to empower the youth financially and provide them financial support in the initial stage of employment.

Prime Minister Modi said that this scheme will benefit about 3.5 crore youth, who will play an important role in the economic development of the country. He called upon the youth to take advantage of this scheme to become self-reliant and contribute to the creation of a developed India.
