PM Modi addresses in Lok Sabha
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday responded to the discussion on 'Operation Sindoor' in the Lok Sabha. During his remarks, PM Modi criticized the opposition and several people. PM Modi said, 'I had said that this is a session of India's Vijayotsav. When I am talking about 'Vijayotsav', I would like to say - this 'Vijayotsav' is about destroying the hideouts of terror. Vijayotsav is about the success of Operation Sindoor.'
Prime Minister Modi said, 'The cruel incident that happened in Pahalgam on 22 April, the way the terrorists asked innocent people about their religion and then shot them, was the height of cruelty. It was a well-planned attempt to throw India into the fire of violence. It was a conspiracy to spread riots in India. Today I express my gratitude to the countrymen that the country united and foiled that conspiracy.' He said that I am standing here to put India's side before this House. I am standing here to show the mirror to those who do not see India's side.'
Prime Minister Modi said, 'I was not in the country on 22 April. I immediately came back and then I called a meeting and we gave clear instructions that terrorism has to be given a befitting reply and this is our national resolve. The army was given full freedom to take action. It was also said that the army should decide when, where, how and in what manner to take action. All these things were clearly said in that meeting.'
PM Modi said that after 22 April, I had publicly said that it is our resolve that we will destroy the terrorists. Their masters will also be punished and the punishment will be bigger than imagination. I was abroad on 22 April.
Immediately after returning from there, I called a meeting. In that meeting, I gave clear instructions that terrorism has to be given a befitting reply, and this is our national resolve. The army was given free hand to take action. We are proud that we punished the terrorists in such a manner that even today those masters of terror are unable to sleep.
