New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi addressed a massive Congress rally at Ramlila Maidan, protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and alleged 'vote theft'. During his address, Rahul Gandhi strongly criticized the RSS and the BJP. He alleged that the Election Commission is working for the BJP. He said that the Election Commission did not respond when he asked questions.

Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP, said, "As I was coming here, I was told that Mohan Bhagwat made a statement in Andaman and Nicobar. Gandhiji used to say that truth is the most important thing, in our religion, truth is considered the most important, but listen to Mohan Bhagwat's statement: 'The world sees power, not truth; whoever has power is respected.' This is Mohan Bhagwat's thinking, this is the RSS ideology. Our ideology, the ideology of Hindustan, Hinduism, and every religion in the world says that truth is the most important, but Mohan Bhagwat says that truth is meaningless, power is important. I guarantee you that we will remove Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and the RSS government from power by standing with the truth, by standing behind the truth."

Election Commission working in collusion with the BJP government: Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi further said in his address, "They (BJP) have power, they steal votes, they give 10,000 rupees during elections, they have their Election Commissioners - Gyanesh Kumar, Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, and Dr. Vivek Joshi... The Election Commission is working in collusion with the BJP government. Prime Minister Modi changed the law for them, brought in a new law, and said that no action can be taken against the Election Commissioners, no proceedings can be initiated against them. We will change this law and take action against you because we are fighting for the truth and you are standing with falsehood." Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticizes the central government.

Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said, "Today, there are hardly one or two debates in a single session of Parliament... When Rahul Gandhi and Kharge ji raised the issue that we need to debate the elections, the EVMs, and vote rigging, they panicked. They didn't listen to us. Finally, they agreed to discuss even Vande Mataram. We kept debating in Parliament about who composed the national song, how the national song was created, why it was created, but they don't have the courage to discuss the major problems you are facing unemployment, inflation, paper leaks. I challenge them (BJP) to fight a fair election, an election based on ballots, and they themselves know that they will never win."
