Ajmer: A massive fire broke out on Saturday afternoon at a prominent furniture showroom located on the Jaipur-Ajmer Highway, causing extensive damage to property and furniture worth crores of rupees, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

The incident occurred around 4 PM and within minutes, the flames engulfed the entire showroom. The showroom owner rushed to the spot upon receiving the news and was left shocked as he watched his entire establishment burn to the ground.

Eyewitnesses Statement

Eyewitnesses reported that the fire originated from the central part of the showroom and spread rapidly, aided by strong winds in the area.
Thick plumes of black smoke and intense flames were visible from several kilometers away. As a precautionary measure, traffic on the highway was halted for some time, causing temporary disruption in movement along the busy route.

Fire Officer Statement

Fire brigade teams reached the spot promptly and began efforts to control the blaze. Fire Officer Ashok Meena, who is leading the operation, stated, “The fire spread rapidly as the showroom contained large quantities of wood, foam, and synthetic materials. Our teams are working tirelessly to control the situation and prevent the fire from spreading further. Thankfully, there are no reports of anyone trapped inside, which comes as a big relief.” He added that the exact cause of the fire would only be known after a thorough investigation.

The police have cordoned off the surrounding area and have urged residents and onlookers to maintain a safe distance. Meanwhile, the showroom staff is assisting authorities with preliminary information, although no official statement has been released so far.
