New Delhi: While many Asian countries are facing gas and oil shortages due to the ongoing tensions and war in the Middle East, India has received some relief. On Sunday, a ship named "Pyxis Pioneer" arrived in India carrying thousands of tons of LPG, which is expected to strengthen the country's gas supply.

Supply Increased at New Mangaluru Port

According to reports, a large shipment of LPG is expected to arrive at New Mangaluru Port in the coming days. A total of approximately 72,700 tons of gas will arrive in India, helping to alleviate the LPG shortage.

The First Tanker "Pyxis Pioneer" Arrives

The Pyxis Pioneer, the first tanker to arrive at the port on Sunday, loaded with 16,714 tons of LPG. This Singapore-flagged ship departed from a port in the Netherlands on February 14th. This gas will be unloaded for Aegis Logistics Limited.

More tankers will arrive in coming days

On March 25th, another tanker named "Apollo Ocean" will arrive carrying 26,687 tons of LPG. This gas will be for Indian Oil Corporation Limited and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited. Additionally, another vessel carrying approximately 30,000 tons of LPG is expected to arrive from the United States on March 29th, supplying it to Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited.

Relief from the Gas Crisis

The arrival of these tankers is expected to improve LPG supplies in India, especially in the southern Indian states. The HPCL plant in Mangaluru will supply this gas to bottling plants and other cities, including Bengaluru, through pipelines.

India's Preparations Amid Global Crisis

The ongoing conflict in the Middle East is impacting global energy supplies, but India has taken timely steps to meet its needs by sourcing gas from alternative sources. The situation is expected to improve further with the arrival of additional supplies in the coming days.
