Lucknow: On the occasion of the 77th Republic Day, a patriotic atmosphere prevailed in Lucknow. Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav unfurled the National Flag in Lucknow on Monday and extended Republic Day greetings to the countrymen. On this occasion, he called for a pledge to protect the Constitution, democracy, and the Republic.

In his message shared on the social media platform 'X' before Republic Day, Akhilesh Yadav described the day as historic and unique. He said that this is the first time in the history of independent India that Republic Day falls on both the 26th and the year. He wrote that on this special Republic Day, a pledge should be taken to protect the country's republic, its foundation, democracy, and its foundation, the Constitution.

CM Yogi also unfurled the tricolor

Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath unfurled the national flag at his official residence in Lucknow. During this, he reiterated the pledge of "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat" and underlined the role of the Constitution. While congratulating the people of the state on Republic Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recalled the historical significance of January 26, 1950, when the Constitution came into force.

He said that from north to south and east to west, the country is moving forward as a new India today, with the spirit of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,” in which the Constitution has played a key role.
