Shell Found Near Highway in J&K’s Kishtwar
Kishtwar: A suspected shell was discovered in the Bindraban area of Kishtwar on Friday, triggering a swift response from security agencies. According to sources, the object was spotted near National Highway 244, following which local authorities and security personnel were alerted.
The presence of the suspected explosive prompted immediate precautionary measures to ensure public safety in the surrounding area. Soon after receiving the information, a team from the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) reached the location and began assessing the situation. The area was temporarily secured while the team carried out a detailed inspection of the object.

After examining the device, the squad followed standard operating procedures to safely dispose of the shell. Officials said the operation was conducted in a controlled manner to prevent any potential risk to people or nearby property.
Authorities confirmed that no casualties or damage to property were reported during the incident. Traffic movement along the highway was also monitored as a precaution while the disposal process was underway.
